Le Schuylkill Tower in Monaco
1 December 2025
Built in 1963, Le Schuylkill Tower was the first skyscraper ever constructed in #Monaco.
Standing in a prominent position, this #residential landmark overlooks Port Hercule, offering sweeping south-facing views of the Royal Palace, the Old Town, and the Mediterranean Sea.
At the request of the current owner, Zaha Hadid Architects — together with local firm SQUARE ARCHITECTE — has been commissioned to restore and expand the tower while preserving its original structure.
FAYAT Group has been appointed to lead the construction, selecting #Simeon as its partner for the development of the new #façades and external solar-shading systems (brise-soleils).
The renewed tower will be a fully #decarbonized building, thanks to the removal of fossil-fuel energy sources and their replacement with renewable alternatives. In addition to preserving the existing reinforced-concrete frame, building components have been recycled, repurposed, and reinstated.
Careful selection of materials, products, technical equipment, and systems has further reduced carbon emissions throughout the building’s entire life cycle.
