Cap 3000 is an iconic shopping centre with a stunning sea view, developed by Aldeta and designed by French studio Groupe 6.
The design of this building, with its undulating façades overlooking the Mediterranean, offers an opening onto this marine landscape site, in a seamless continuity with the city.

The façade is composed of a steel framework with trade profiles, which, with their curves and facets, manage to respect the sinuosity of the site.
The top floor houses the wellness and sports centre, which with its steel façade in built-up profiles creates a direct view over the sea.

The flexibility of steel façades

The steel structure of the project consists of approximately 130 tonnes of commercial tubular profiles and electro-welded profiles.
The structures on the various zones are designed ad hoc, with calendered, built-up or straight profiles, in order to respect and recreate the curvilinear course provided for in the architectural design.

Duplex plates for securing 'Ruban'.

Duplex 1.4462 stainless steel brackets are welded onto each mullion, which required special precautions during assembly in the workshop, necessary for securing the glazed or blind outer band structures.

The first two sections of the façades are made of screen-printed double-glazing with selective coating, while the upper sections are made of aluminium slats, to create continuity with the service areas of the existing shopping centre and hide the systems, and shadow boxes with enamelled glass in the same RAL as the main structure.
