In Milan, near the Central Station, the construction site for “VP22, The Hidden Woods” is underway. It is an office complex designed by Tectoo characterized by transparency and strong interaction between architecture and green, with the installation of a “forest” at level -1 and the construction of a roofed hanging garden.
Simeon participates in the project through the construction and supply of double-height curtain wall units for the main façade (about 7 m), on which an external three-dimensional UHPC shaped coating will be hooked (ultra high performance concrete). The first two levels of the building and the stairwells also include steel uprights and crossbars with electro-welded closed section profiles in order to obtain the desired design. On the roof a “bubble” will be made, a volume consisting of a mixed steel and cement structure, covered by a double-skin, completely glazed façade.
Special envelope for advanced environmental sustainability criteria
The envelope consists of the main façade with units of high-performance Low-Iron glass, and with external architectural cement elements with CO2 absorption properties that meet L.E.E.D and WELL certifications.
The space at the top of the building has a double-skin façade, which will make the building identifiable in the new Milan skyline.
